Desde la década de 1940, los trabajos de Melanie Klein fueron traducidos al español y publicados en diversas editoriales argentinas. En los años sesenta, Editorial Paidós emprendió la publicación de las Obras completas de Melanie Klein, en seis volúmenes. A partir de 1975, Roger Money-Kyrle reunió las obras de la autora bajo el título general de The Writings of Melanie Klein [WMK], en cuatro volúmenes que fueron publicados por The Free Press (Simon and Schuster). En 1990, Paidós adoptó la pauta de las WMK.
En 2009, Harry Karnac publicó Melanie Klein and Beyond. A Bibliography of Primary and Secondary Sources. Empleamos el invaluable trabajo de Karnac para referir las fuentes primarias y remitirlas a la más reciente edición de las Obras completas de Melanie Klein en Paidós.
