Pronombres personales
Se agrupan en dos categorías: pronombres personales con función de sujeto (I, you, he / she / it, we, you, they) y pronombres personales con función de objeto (me, you, him / her / it, us, you, them).
En inglés, los pronombres personales con función de sujeto nunca deben omitirse en la oración.
Se usa la forma de objeto cuando el pronombre es complemento directo o indirecto, después de una preposición y después del verbo to be en el predicado nominal.
La forma impersonal
La forma impersonal se («Se dice que...») no tiene un equivalente en inglés, y se traduce de diferentes maneras según el significado.
Se puede usar la forma pasiva, el pronombre one o el sustantivo people cuando se hace referencia a muchas personas; se emplea el pronombre de tercera persona del plural they cuando se hace referencia a un número más limitado de personas.
Por último, se puede usar we (cuando se incluye el que habla) o you (cuando se entiende «vosotros» en sentido general).
